P1 and P2 Storytelling Class | In this class students are trying to become better storytellers. After learning all the storytelling skills, students practise reading stories in groups and to the whole class to become better storytellers and critique one another. | Whole year |
P3-P5 English Ambassadors Class | The English ambassadors are tasked with creating English games for the weekly English Day, writing up scripts for campus TV, and helping to create a better environment for English at the school. | Whole year |
School Campus TV | The Native-speaking English Teacher (NET) produces English videos with different themes with the English Ambassadors. | Whole year |
Big Book Reading | On Thursday morning the NET goes to a P1 or P2 classroom to read Big Books with the students. | Whole year |
Thursday English Day | Every Thursday there is an English Day. In the morning the NET will go to read Big Books at a P1 or P2 classroom. During the recess and after-lunch recess, students will do English activities in the hall. | Whole year |
English Workshops for Parents | Our school will hold workshops for parents to help children learn English. Parents will learn phonics, reading tips, and online tools so they can review and support their kids at home. | 1st term |
Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival | Students are encouraged to take part in the speech festival. | 1st term |
P1 English Outing | Students go on an outing to Hong Kong Botanical & Zoological Garden. Students use English in a new environment. They are encouraged to use as much English as possible to express themselves and discuss what they see. | 1st term |
English Fun Day | English Fun Day is full of fun! Students play games at booths, get their faces painted with cool designs, win prizes, and speak English while laughing and having a great time together. | 2nd term |
